Local Annual Events
January sees the traditional Wassailing events held in our local villages to promote good harvest for the season ahead; with lots of cider and dancing.
Burnham-on-Sea hosts food & drink and music festivals which are free to attend, family-friendly, accessible and held in a town centre twice a year, in May and October, celebrating local producers and musicians.
Throughout August, many of the villages around us hold their Harvest Home celebrations, with food, drink and dancing! Burnham-on-Sea also hosts its rescue services day during summer holidays with lots of activities.
September sees Burnham-on-Sea’s annual two-day kite festival take to the skies, and 3 day music and performing arts festival.
On the first Monday in November, Burnham-on-Sea welcomes the Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival with illuminated floats and processions and must-see if you are in Sedgemoor in November. The night before Carnival always coincides with Burnham-on-Sea infamous fireworks display over the beach.
