Food & Drink Shopping
We have a local village shop and post office in Mark, stocking all essentials including fresh food for your stay. There is also an independent bakery in Mark opposite the shop, boasting delicious savoury and sweet offerings.
Farm shops at Tarnock and Brent House Farm (both 10 minutes away) are well stocked with fresh local produce although Tarnock has more choice. Be sure to visit Brent House Farm for their milk vending machine to take home - it’s the same as the milk in your welcome pack and you can buy a bottle when you get there.
Richs Cider Farm sell their own cider and opened their brand new museum and shop in 2022 with fresh fruit & veg, meat, cheeses and so much more, including BBQs & gifts… and of course their cider!
Farmers Markets in Burnham-on-Sea (last Friday each month) and Axbridge (first Saturday each month) provide wide variety of fresh, high quality, locally produced food. Burnham-on-Sea high street has a fishmongers, farm shop, fruit and veg shop with butchers and several bakeries.
Wedmore has a Farm Shop with butchers of local meat and also holds a monthly Farmers and Craft Market (second Saturday each month) with local produce and gifts.
Local supermarkets include Lidl and Tesco in Burnham, with Asda and Aldi on the outskirts in Highbridge.
General shopping
Sanders Garden Centre stocks an excellent range of top-quality plants and gardening products as well as pet shop, gift shop, café and restaurant.
Burnham-on-Sea high street features chain and independent stores, as well as several pharmacies, a post office, gift shops and more.
Independent boutique style shopping can be found in Wedmore.
Further afield, there is a designer outlet in Street with over 90 designer and high street brands whilst Bridgwater, Weston-Super-Mare, Taunton and Bristol offer high streets and shopping centres.
